Thomas Konrad (kfm. Leiter HANNO), Simona Mieles, (projektbegleitende Betriebsratsvorsitzende HANNO) und Stephan Topel (Leiter Buchhaltung HANNO) nahmen am 26.11.2019 den Gesundheitspreis für Betriebe in Niedersachsen 2019 „Vorsprung!“ entgegen.
The health of employees is closely linked to work performance as well as general well-being at the workplace. The health concept developed by the manufacturer of joint sealants in cooperation with the AOK has already achieved enormous success on the way to the set goals: A decrease in sick leave, increasing employee motivation and an improvement in the working atmosphere. These visible successes also convinced the jury, which awarded the 2019 Health Prize for Companies in Lower Saxony to the company.
The employees come first
HANNO developed needs-oriented measures for its approximately 200 employees, such as training for managers, a scissor lift to improve ergonomics and fitness offers in cooperation with the company Hansefit - even management guidelines and personnel development tools were set up for the concept. "With this broad approach, we are pursuing the goal of providing employees with individual support for the physical demands of their jobs," explains Simona Mieles, the works council chairperson accompanying the project.
HANNO's employees work both in the production of foam and plastic, where they are physically challenged, and in offices, where most of their working time is spent sitting. With its health management, HANNO optimally counteracts the various stresses and strains. The "Vorsprung!" award is therefore another milestone on the way to a healthy and high-performing workforce.
